Warm Valley Farm hosts a Wednesday afternoon Local Farmers' Market from 3-7 PM, May 15th through October 16th. This is our second year hosting the market. (Our farmstand is also open 4 days a week.)
Our intent is to complement the Eastsound Saturday Market, and give local food producers, growers, and makers a mid-week market to share their wares. We had a wonderful season last year with 3 vendors and our farm shops, and are looking forward to expanding the Wednesday In Warm Valley Market this year. 10’ X 10” Stalls are $25 a session for drop in, and $20 per Wednesday for the entire season for a total of 23 market days for $460.
If you are interested or know someone who might be a fit for our local market, please have them respond to us as soon as possible! We have WiFi available for your point of sales systems.
We joined the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau, and the Orcas Chamber of Commerce to help spread the word. We love sharing marketing with our vendors. We have a lot of repeat local plus visiting customers seeking produce, baked goods, cheese, fish, drinks, gifts etc. We hope you can join us in the seasonal bounty that Orcas Island offers.
If you are a participating Food Vendor, you must also provide a current Temporary Food Service Permit from San Juan County. For more details, contact Kirk Sato, RS, PhD, Environmental Health Specialist - Phone: 360-370-7507 More Information at San Juan County Health and Community Services. The Temporary Food Service Permit form can also be found at: https://www.sanjuanco.com/416/Food-Safety-Program. This is not the same as a Food Handlers Permit, which is also required. A copy of this permit must be provided to the Farm Manager PRIOR to your first day.
All food/vegetable/fruit vendors are required to submit a Certificate of Liability Insurance. Liability insurance with not less than $1,000,000 minimum coverage is required of all approved vendors. You must send us a copy of a liability insurance certificate after submitting your application naming “Warm Valley Farm LLC” as an additional insured in an email to warmvalleyfarms@gmail.com.
